Horse Training (In House) - From start to finish, your horse will receive the best in gentle training to inspire a willing and cooperative partner. A solid foundation is built with unique ground training techniques that teach your horse manners, responsiveness, and balance. Under saddle, they continue their education to develop a soft, yielding response to leg and seat cues, keeping their mouth soft and supple by using only a rope hackamore. I generally do not begin with a snaffle until the third month, and only to put some finish on them. Frequently, their first few trail rides are still in the rope hackamore, and many owners choose to keep their horse in hackamores. My yielding and flexion foundation makes the transition to curb bridles easy down the line. Cost: $800 a month (30 day increments) includes weekly lesson with owner and full board care. Notes: Reserve your spots early. Each receives my personal attention. Summer spots fill up quite fast. Horse Training Lessons: I also provide hourly lessons with you and your horse. If you are having specific problems connecting with your horse, this may be your solution. I work with both you and your horse to establish clear lines of communication and create a partnership between you and your horse. You learn both training techniques as well as riding techniques. Cost: $45 an hour. Riding Lessons: Available for children and adults. Lesson horses available. Cost: $45 an hour. Pair or group rates available. Clinics: Focus is on understanding equine language and behavior (basic HorseSpeak™), riding in partnership with your horse, and desensitizing. Only 6 -8 horses will be accepted per clinic.
